NFC West Champion

Can the Rams Win the NFC West
After last years' spectacular season the two teams that every pro football experts are talking about are the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks.  Last year both teams finished the season with at least 11 wins but to everyone's surprise neither team finished the season with the best division record that honor belong to the St. Louis Rams with a division record of 4-1-1.  Jeff Fisher in his 1st season as head coach changed the culture of the Rams last year by changing the Rams from a joke in 2011 only winning 2 games into a respectable team winning 7 games in 2012. Last year the Rams offense took a huge step in the right direction last season due to QB Sam Bradford remaining healthy while having his best season as a pro and the talent pool being slightly upgraded with weapons such as WR Chris Givens.  Even with the departure of RB Steven Jackson the Rams offense should vastly improve with the additions of LT Jake Long, WR Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, and Jared Cook. Prior to the draft the Rams already had one of the best young defenses in the NFL which includes DE Chris Long (11.5 sacks), DE Robert Quinn (10.5 sacks) DT Michael Brockers (4.0 sacks), CB Janoris Jenkins (4 interceptions), and LB James Laurinaitis (142 tackles) in 2012.  By adding OLB Alec Ogletree and Safety TJ. Mcdonald into this young defensive nucleus the Rams should be even better on defense this upcoming season. Although the Rams have gotten better so has their division rivals the 49ers and the Seahawks.  The 49ers have added Super Bowl winning wide receiver Anquan Boldin and the Seahawks have added dynamic wide receiver and return special Percy Harvin to their talented rosters. While the Rams won't win the division this year don't be surprised if the Rams wins 10 games this upcoming season and make the playoffs as a wild card.
