Texas A Quarterback State?

For years when people think about football in the state of Texas they think great running backs.  Over the last 12 years the state of Texas has put an end to that particular stereotype due to 7 on 7 football and the utilization of spread offenses in high school football. These 2 innovations have helped high school quarterbacks become better prepared to execute offenses in college and thus have an immediate impact for their teams.  The benefits from this new style of football has also continue to put quarterback in to the NFL as a vary rapid pace.  Heading into the 2013 football season 25% of the starting quarterbacks will be from the state of Texas more than any other state including Drew Brees, Andy Dalton, Robert Griffin III, Kevin Kolb, Andrew Luck, Christian Ponder, Matthew Stafford, and Ryan Tannehill.  The state of Texas still produces elite running backs but don't just consider Texas just a running back state.
