Over the last 4 years both the College Basketball and NBA ranks have seen a surge in the amount of Canadian talent that they are receiving. Although Canada has been getting NBA players into to NBA for a while both the quantity and quality of players that are entering the league are at an all time high. In the 2011 NBA draft Tristan Thompson became the 1st Canadian born player to get drafted in the top 10 of the draft in history. This year Canadian born power forward Anthony Bennett made even more history by becoming the first Canadian born player to go number 1 overall in the draft and also Center Kelly Olynyk also was drafted in the 1st round. In the 2014 Canada can make even more history if highly touted Andrew Wiggins can go number 1 overall in the NBA draft. Also with Trey Lyles being a top 10 overall ranked player in the class of 2014 the talent coming from Canadian doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.
